One of the least things known about American Football Monthly is a tradition that started when the magazine moved to South Florida in the summer of 1997. Every year South Florida welcomes hundreds of college coaches vying for the most talented athletes the area has to offer and for the last six years AFM has played host to many of these coaches traveling to our back yard. Over the years we have had lunch and dinner with staff members from programs at all levels – college, high school and the pros. We have heard some of the most entertaining stories of the coaching profession’s past and present. However, most often we take advantage of these meetings by asking many questions about the football industry and what new topics we need to cover in the magazine.
