At LSU we are going to train with free weights and perform barbell exercises that require a great deal of concentration and effort. These exercises are total body exercises and require you to exert a great deal of energy every time you step into the weight room. It is important that the readers understand that we are not bodybuilders, weightlifters, or power lifters but we will perform a great deal of the same exercises that many of these great athletes do. They are, however, arranged, sequenced and prescribed in a manner that is designed for our athletes to be the very best FOOTBALL PLAYERS that they can be.The backbone of our program is built upon the weightlifting exercises.
