In preparing this annual issue, we had the privilege of talking with some of the most successful football programs at the high school, college and professional levels. And what we found was no surprise – the single most common factor to their success was their commitment to researching, implementing and maintaining an effective, year-round strength and conditioning program. Thus concluding one of the most important ingredients in any successful football program is a quality strength and conditioning program. The simple act of lifting weights and the desire to become faster doesn’t necessarily equal a quality football strength and conditioning program. Just like many coaches spend their off-season traveling to clinics to learn more about the latest offensive trends, football programs that consistently obtain success place an emphasis on researching various strength and conditioning
